  5. How does the boat handle when parking in a lift or at a dock? 
  6. How does the hull of this boat differ from others that are similar? 

Technology Onboard 

Next, you’ll want to make sure you become familiar with the technology on the boat. In today’s world, boats are equipped with a plethora of complex systems. Ensure you ask these questions to fully understand the technology on the boat. 

  1. What technology and systems are on the boat? 
  2. What systems are automatic and what are manual? 
  3. What safety features does the boat have? 

Fuel Questions 

Given that most boats consume a significant amount of fuel, it’s essential to inquire about the fuel specifics of the boat you’re considering. Be ready with what you should expect by asking these questions about fuel.  

  1. What is typical fuel consumption at cruising speeds? 
  2. How large is the fuel tank and what is the estimated range?
