We’re dedicated to the communities that we are involved in. Learn more about how we are involved in each community.
At Action Water Sports, bringing families together on the water extends far beyond the shoreline. Since opening our first store in 1990, our mission has always been rooted in the people: the families we serve, the partners we work with, and the communities that have supported us through every season.
Across Michigan and Florida, each of our locations has found their own way to give back. From sponsoring local school programs and charity golf outings to organizing family events and donating to silent auctions. While the details may differ from town to town, one thing remains the same: our team’s genuine commitment to making a positive impact both on and off the water.
Here’s a closer look at how each Action Water Sports location pours back into their community.
Traverse City
Our Traverse City team believes in serving their community with the same enthusiasm they bring to a day on the lake. Our involvement spans a wide range of causes, from youth education and veterans’ support to helping those who need a safe place to call home.

Bringing It All Together
No matter the zip code, one thing unites every Action Water Sports location: a deep commitment to people. Whether it’s sponsoring a robotics team in Traverse City, providing weekend meals in Hudsonville, hosting adaptive wakeboarding events, or cheering at parades in Fenton, our teams understand that true success comes from giving back.
These partnerships aren’t about publicity or recognition; they’re about community. They’re about creating moments that matter, supporting causes that make a difference, and staying anchored in the values that have guided us since 1990.
At Action Water Sports, we believe the water has a way of bringing people together. And when we give our time, energy, and heart to the communities around us, we’re reminded why we do what we do: to connect people, create memories, and make waves that matter.
